Lil Boosie

Lil Boosie is a rapper hailing from Louisiana. He is a rising star in the world of hip hop, having had numerous hits in recent years, despite being currently incarcerated in the Louisiana State Penitentiary for four years on a drug and guns possession charge. Though he currently has many other cases pending, Lil Boosie maintains his innocence of the more serious charges and continues to dedicate his life to his craft and love, being a hip hop lyricist.

Besides being a rapper, Lil Boosie is a dedicated father of three children and a husband.

Lil Boosie got his start in the world of hip hop alongside some of the legends of Southern hip hop. He made his album debut on the fifth album of fellow artist C-Loc and soon worked his way up to becoming an esteemed member of the record label Trill Entertainment. Trill Entertainment received its financial backing and street reputation in large part from the now deceased hit rapper Pimp C from the legendary Southern rap group the Under Ground Kings, better known by their acronym UGK.

Lil Boosie released his major label debt album, entitled “Bad Azz,” in 2006. The album contained appearances from some of the hottest rappers of the day, including Yung Joc and Webbie. The album brought Boosie to the attention of a number of prominent hip hop DJs who began taking his subsequent recordings much more seriously, even including him on various compilations and mixtapes.

The second project from Boosie was released in 2009 and entitled “Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz.” This album also included a guest appearance from Young Jeezy on the song “Better Believe It.” This album allowed for Boosie to present to the world his record label, Bad Azz Entertainment.

Boosie is still releasing albums while incarcerated, with his latest being entitled “Incarcerated” in 2010.
