Lil Boosie Murder Charges
A trial date has yet to be set for Lil Boosie murder charges. Torrence “Lil Boosie” Hatch is currently awaiting trial in the Louisiana State Penitentiary for the first-degree murder of Terry Boyd. Lil Boosie murder charges stem from his alleged order to have Boyd killed. Mike Louding was allegedly paid by Lil Boosie to kill Boyd. Boyd was murdered October 29, 2009 when a bullet shot through the window of his home struck him while he was inside.
Lil Boosie is currently serving a two year sentence for third-offence marijuana possession after his guilty plea to the charge in late 2009. The Lil Boosie murder charges are not the only charges the rapper faces. He is facing two counts of conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution, three counts of possession with intent to distribute narcotics, and three counts of conspiracy to commit possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
For rapper Lil Boosie murder charges such as the first-degree murder charge he faces can carry the death penalty. The East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office has yet to decide whether to seek the death penalty in the case. Lil Boosie continues to insist he is innocent of the murder charges.
Mike Louding is facing five other murder charges unrelated to the Terry Boyd killing. It is unclear if Lil Boosie has any connection to those murders. No other Lil Boosie murder charges exist other than his charge of first-degree murder in the Terry Boyd shooting.
Fans continue to support the rapper who had gained notoriety in the rap music community in years prior to his arrest. No trial date is set in connection with the Boyd case and with new prison drug smuggling charges Lil Boosie will not be a free man any time soon, if ever.
